Jim McElwain arrives at Michigan to teach and learn from Jim Harbaugh

ANN ARBOR -- Jim McElwain spent more than five seasons steering his own football ship, doing things the way he wanted them.

But times change and so has the situation for the ex-Florida head coach, who agreed to part ways with the school last fall amid an odd disagreement.

Things got even weirder in February, when Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh, having just lost his newly-hired wide receivers coach Dan Enos, reached out to his former SEC rival. The two agreed on a one-year contract that pays McElwain a $300,000 salary to be wide receivers coach.
