Jim Harbaugh, Michigan football kick off satellite camp schedule on Friday

ANN ARBOR -- The satellite camps began three years ago with Jim Harbaugh and his Michigan coaching staff traipsing the country.

Harbaugh would lead one camp -- shirt off and chest exposed -- and then appear at another wearing an Allen Iverson jersey.

It got to a point where the NCAA felt the need to regulate summer camp schedules, requiring any and all camps to take place on college campuses. Additionally, coaching staffs are limited to 10 days during the summer months.

"There's going to be a lot of them that we participate in," Harbaugh told reporters earlier this month.
