ANN ARBOR -- Jim Harbaugh's spent enough time around the Obama family now to where he's willing to take a shot.
Michigan's head coach said Saturday during his annual quarterbacks camp in Ann Arbor that he plans making a formal offer to both Barack and Michelle Obama to be honorary football captains in 2017.
Michigan went through a variety of honorary captains before each home game last season, including Michael Jordan and Tom Brady.
The Obamas would be quite a pull.
"We're making those asks, those official asks," Harbaugh said. "Yeah, we're in the process of making an official ask.
