Jalen Rose to host vaccination event at school, encouraging Detroiters to get COVID shot

As the state of Michigan continues to vaccinate its citizens, the city of Detroit is lagging behind. As of May 4, only 31.19% of Detroit residents older than 16 had received at least one dose of a vaccine — far lower than the statewide percentage of 50.5%.

Former NBA player, Michigan Fab Five star and Detroit native Jalen Rose is getting involved in the effort to get Detroiters vaccinated.
