Improved QB play overall excites Jim Harbaugh, should give Michigan new depth

ANN ARBOR -- Jourdan Lewis isn't a quarterbacks coach by any stretch.

But it's not too difficult for him to see just how much further along Michigan's quarterback play is this August as compared to a year ago at this time.

"Coach is less frustrated," Michigan's All-American cornerback said with a smile Monday. "So if you want to gauge that (you can)."

Jim Harbaugh hasn't named a starter publicly yet. He's decided on a quarterback, though, and that player (the safe money still appears to be on junior Wilton Speight) knows his spot on the depth chart.
