For Howard Eisley, the motivation behind his decision to leave his job as an NBA assistant coach to join the Michigan basketball staff came down to one thing: mentorship.
Eisley, who joined Juwan Howard's staff in June, was asked multiple times about why he joined U-M during his first sit-down with the media earlier this week.
His answer was consistent each time.
"For me, to be able to have an immediate impact on kids, I think that was something that was missing," Eisley said.
