How Michigan solved last year's defensive turnover problems: aggression

One of U-M coach Jim Harbaugh’s favorite parts of Saturday’s 63-3 win over Hawaii was the impact of Michigan’s defense.

The Wolverines grabbed two interceptions and returned them for touchdowns by safety Delano Hill and cornerback Channing Stribling and had another one by Stribling that was called back because of a late-hit penalty. And linebacker Mike McCray forced a fumble that Hawaii had to recover.

“We’re very hopeful for turnovers,” Harbaugh said on his Monday radio show. “It was nice to see our team was getting turnovers.”

Mostly because that’s a big improvement under new defensive coordinator Don Brown.
