Regardless of the term for it, Michigan basketball has unveiled a different method of defending ball screens.
And the Wolverines used their new scheme — let's call it drop coverage for simplicity — in Tuesday night's 79-69 win over Creighton.
“We have different coverages on how we play pick-and-rolls," Howard said Thursday. "It just so happens, for some adjustments that we made for that particular game, I just felt that coverage was one that we wanted to explore.
