Harbaugh starting QB competition over in camp

CHICAGO -- Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh is hitting the reset button with his quarterbacks.

Despite Wilton Speight taking the No. 1 reps at the end of spring -- edging out John O’Korn and Shane Morris -- Harbaugh insists that there’s no favorite heading into preseason camp.

“The slate’s back clean and open,” Harbaugh said. “I’ve experienced and believe, the quarterback position, there’s an order. There’s good, better, best. Somebody was first, somebody was second, somebody was third. But after spring ball, there’s four months where the quarterback can improve or not improve.
