Michigan left tackle Grant Newsome's season is over, coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed today.
Newsome was injured during Saturday's 14-7 win over Wisconsin with a cut block to his knee and a further examination is coming. Harbaugh did not specify the injury.
"It'll be a tough couple weeks for him and a tough reminder how tough the game of football can be," Harbaugh said during today's news conference.
Newsome, a sophomore, had started every game this year. Harbaugh raved about his ability to handle it.
"As far as human being character, nobody has come through this university and football (so strong,)" Harbaugh said.
