Former Michigan and Ohio State players team up for $2 million tournament prize

It took a $2 million incentive, but Michigan and Ohio State are teaming up.

Several former basketball players from the rival schools will be teammates in a national basketball tournament this summer. The Basketball Tournament (TBT), a 72-team event open to anyone 18 or older, will hold its fourth annual event at locations all over the country starting in July. The single-elimination bracket, much of which will be broadcast on ESPN, culminates with a championship game on August 3 in Baltimore. The winning team earns $2 million.

One of the hopeful teams -- 129 squads have already requested entry -- is "Big X," a reference to the Big Ten.
