Ex-Michigan football staffer accused of 'super drunk' driving offered plea deal

ANN ARBOR, MI - Prosecutors have offered a plea deal to a former Michigan football staffer accused of "super drunken" driving, resisting police and attempting to bite a lab technician in a March 5 debacle in downtown Ann Arbor.

Fergus Connolly, 40, was offered a chance to cut the nine misdemeanor charges against him down to five when appeared Monday, April 23 for a pretrial in front of Ann Arbor's 15th District Court Judge Karen Quinlan Valvo.

Connolly spent the last two seasons as the Michigan football team's director of performance and added the role of football operations director to his title in 2017.
