Ex-Michigan football pledge Amauri Pesek-Hickson signs with Kansas

Former Michigan commit Amauri Pesek-Hickson has found a new home.

Pesek-Hickson signed a letter of intent to play for Les Miles and Kansas on national signing day Wednesday.

The 3-star athlete will play running back for the Jayhawks. Pesek-Hickson backed away from his Michigan pledge earlier this week after U-M coach Jim Harbaugh asked him to go to prep school instead of signing in 2019.

Pesek-Hickson, a Kansas native, committed to Michigan back in November after receiving an offer the month prior in October.

His father, Shermaine Hickson, told the Free Press recently that Michigan's coaching staff had put a plan in place for Pesek-Hickson to raise his grade-point average during the fall semester with the plan of signing in February.
