Ex-Michigan football OL coach Ed Warinner headed to FAU to work for Harbaugh ex-assistant

Former Michigan football offensive line coach Ed Warinner is expected to join the coaching staff of one of Jim Harbaugh's former assistants.

A Free Press source confirmed Warinner is in line to become the run game coordinator and oversee the tackles and tight ends at Florida Atlantic, where one of Harbaugh's protégés, Willie Taggart, is the head coach.

The news was first reported by The Athletic's Bruce Feldman.

Warinner spent three seasons at Michigan, helping transform the Wolverines' blocking front into one of the strongest position groups on the team.

Last April, four of Michigan's five starting linemen were drafted, led by center Cesar Ruiz, a first-round selection by the New Orleans Saints.
