Michigan is a top-10 team but its future remains one of the toughest to forecast over the next three seasons, according to a survey of college football writers, coaches and coordinators.
ESPN unveiled its future power rankings on Monday (Insider subscription required), projecting Michigan as the sixth best team in the country from 2017 to 2019.
This follows up ESPN, with help of in-house writers, Power 5 coaches and coordinators, ranking Michigan's offense ninth, defense ninth and quarterbacks sixth.
"The Wolverines lose so much from the 2016 team," ESPN's Adam Rittenberg writes. "Outside linebacker Mike McCray is the only returning starter on defense -- and a slight backslide this fall would be understandable, if not expected.
