Daily Brews: Presumptive No. 1 pick Owen Power leaning towards return to Michigan

Leading up to next month’s NHL Draft, Michigan defenseman Owen Power has established himself as the presumptive No. 1 overall pick. The 6-foot-6, 213-pound freshman posted three goals and 13 assists across 26 games this past season en route to a second team All-Big Ten selection.

But Power’s freshman season was anything but normal. The pandemic prevented him from a conventional college experience, while the Wolverines were removed from the NCAA Tournament before the puck even dropped due to a positive COVID-19 test.

For that reason, he’s not just entertaining the idea of returning to Ann Arbor for a second season — he’s favoring it.
