Could Shane Morris find a new role in offense?

One of the most unusual parts of Michigan’s spring game three weeks ago was how Shane Morris was used.

The redshirt junior quarterback emerged as an unlikely receiving target.

It seemed like a typical spring game gimmick early when he took a toss from Blue team quarterback John O’Korn and threw across the field for a touchdown to Drake Johnson for a 9-yard touchdown pass.

Morris got a few series at quarterback, completing 4-of-9 passes and once got the Wolverines near midfield before the drive fell apart.

But the wideout moment may have been more than that.
