After the College Football Playoff field was announced, the bowl picture became finalized for Michigan football. It will play Texas in the Citrus Bowl.
The Wolverines finished ranked 18th in the final playoff rankings. Texas is 13th. Arch Manning and the Longhorns will also head into the bowl game 9-3.
For Texas, missing the playoffs was an even bigger disappointment. Michigan wasn't expected to. The Wolverines had a true freshman quarterback, and it showed. They were still maybe just a win away from making it. The same can be said for Texas. If each team had beaten Ohio State, they would probably have made the field.
