BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- A familiar uniform awaits Brett Adcock.
The former Bay City Western and University of Michigan baseball standout is heading to Buies Creek, North Carolina, to begin his third season of professional baseball.
Adcock pitched much of last season for the Buies Creek Astros, the high-level Class A minor league affiliate of the World Series champion Houston Astros. He's listed on the roster as No. 28, the same uniform he donned in 2017.
The 6-foot-1, 225-pound left-handed pitcher spent spring training with the Astros in West Palm Beach, Florida, before drawing his assignment for the regular season.
