Bo Schembechler's Michigan football legacy forever damaged. His statue should come down

Gilvanni Johnson, a former Michigan football player, bit his lip, took a couple of deep breaths and rocked back and forth.

He looked down at a prepared statement and choked up with emotion before detailing being sexually abused by Dr. Robert Anderson, U-M's longtime team physician.

"Before my freshman physical, you would hear players joking about having to see ‘Dr. Anus,’ " Johnson said at a news conference Thursday, while describing how Anderson sexually abused him. “The exam was very painful. I felt humiliated and confused.”

The description of the abuse was not surprising.
