Big Ten basketball power rankings: Purdue the lone unbeaten

We’ve reached the halfway point of the Big Ten season, sort of. Eight of the league’s 14 members have played nine conference games and therefore have nine remaining. Some have played eight, others 10. Thursday night’s results left just one undefeated team, while there remains a logjam in the middle.

14. Illinois (11-11, 1-8)

Congratulations to Illinois, which had lost three league games in overtime and another by one point, for getting its first Big Ten win Wednesday vs. Indiana.

13. Iowa (11-11, 2-7)

The Hawkeyes yielded 20 made 3-pointers against Purdue Sunday but bounced back with perhaps their best game of the season Tuesday, beating Wisconsin 85-67.
