Assistant Wheatley keeps U-M run game a team effort

Now in their second year with assistant coach Tyrone Wheatley, Michigan’s running backs are able to cut loose a bit in their meeting room.

Though there aren’t many details about the conversations — “It’s like Vegas. We don’t say too much and try to keep everything in there,” tailback Ty Isaac said — the back-and-forth sounds vibrant.

They bounce off a lot of topics, but the most obvious one, that they want multiple carries to get comfortable, is ongoing.
