Ann Arbor — Michigan defensive backs Gemon Green and Makari Paige were asked on different occasions this week their impressions of position coach Steve Clinkscale, and their immediate reactions were nearly identical.
Green and Paige each paused, then chuckled before answering about the Wolverines’ second-year coach who also is co-defensive coordinator.
“He’s very aggressive,” Green said on Monday. “He’s going to get on you for sure if you mess up. He’s also going to turn you up whenever you make a play. He’s always on everybody, even the linebackers. He’s a very good coach. He’s very smart.
