Michigan football has been searching for its next head coach. After Kenny Dillingham re-signed with Arizona State and Alabama beat Oklahoma last week, the Wolverines have started to move down their list of candidates.
One name that figured to be on that list is former Michigan football defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, who coordinated the Wolverines' national championship defense in 2023.
After that, Minter followed former Michigan football head coach Jim Harbaugh to the NFL. He has been the Chargers' defensive coordinator for the past two seasons. The Chargers are 11-4, and Minter is one of the hottest names on the NFL coaching market.
