Analyst says UM's Ben Bredeson is 'best pure guard' in NFL Draft

ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper has described former Michigan left guard and two-time captain Ben Bredeson as the “best pure guard” in the upcoming draft and sees him as a Day 2 selection.

The three-day draft begins April 23.

In Kiper’s latest mock draft, he has former Michigan center Cesar Ruiz trending up to the No. 27 spot — he had been at No. 32 in Kiper’s previouslist. Ruiz, who had a seasonof eligibility remaining, is considered the top prospect among former Michigan players in the draft, along with linebacker Josh Uche.

Gil Brandt, the Sirius XM NFL analyst and former vice president of player personnel for the Dallas Cowboys, recently released his top-150 NFL Draft prospects and included four Michigan players.
