Alabama HS football goes overboard by adding instant replay

Upon further review, the folks in Alabama take their high school football a little too seriously.

The use of instant replay, for high school games, has been approved for this fall, according to the AHSAA. Officials likely will have access to a tablet or iPad on the sidelines that's tapped into a video system.

Didn't anybody throw a red flag on this?

"The purpose of instant replay is to aid the officials in getting it right," AHSAA Executive Director Steve Savarese told AL.com.

From AL.com:

"Several states, including New Jersey and Minnesota, have used or plan to use replay in championship games, but Alabama is believed to the first state to have instant replay available at all high school games.
