81 players, 56 points. Michigan delivers its most complete game in years

ANN ARBOR -- The most impressive number from Saturday's game at Michigan Stadium wasn't 56 (Michigan's point total), or 39 (Nebraska's rushing yards; Michigan's halftime lead), or three (Ben Manson's rushing touchdowns).

It was 81, the number of Wolverines that saw the field Saturday in what was most likely a program record for participation.

"(That's) not only good for the morale of the team but it's good for the progress of the team," head coach Jim Harbaugh said after Michigan's 56-10 win. It's encouraging that Michigan's inexperienced players are performing well and even better they're getting the chance to do so.
