The Michigan Wolverines basketball team could get one of the top recruits in the 2019 class. Tyrese Maxey, a 6’3” point guard from Garland, Texas, announced his Final Five on Thursday, May 3. The top five consists of Michigan, Michigan State, Texas, Oklahoma State, and Kentucky - who is considered to be the favorite to land Maxey.
Maxey averaged 22.5 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block in 40 games as a junior at South Garland High School. He led the team to a 36-4 overall record, and a 34th overall national ranking in the 2017-18 season.
