The Michigan Wolverines added their first defensive line prospect to their 2026 class, as three-star edge rusher Tariq Boney announced his commitment on Saturday.

The 6-foot-2, 230-pounder is from Washington DC and plays at St. John’s, which is also where former Michigan safety Quinten Johnson played at in high school. He was offered by defensive line coach Lou Esposito in January and also gathered a lot of other really good offers from schools like Georgia, Auburn, Penn State, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Washington and others.
