The five-star quarterback in the 2021 class is constantly @’ing recruits on Twitter and telling them to join him in Ann Arbor. He’s done it countless times, including with a few remaining targets in 2021 like four-star tight end Thomas Fidone, four-star defensive lineman Rayshaun Benny, three-star receiver Andrel Anthony and more.
McCarthy recently decided to transfer to IMG Academy in Florida for his senior year. The reason? Illinois high school athletics may not happen this fall due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
