Maurice Linguist, Michigan’s new co-defensive coordinator, spent Tuesday evening offering scholarships to some defensive backs in the 2022 class. One of those guys is Kody Jones, a four-star athlete from Germantown, Tennessee.
The 5-foot-11.5, 180-pounder spoke with Linguist for the first time Tuesday evening, and it likely wont’ be the last.
“I felt great,” Jones told Maize n Brew after getting the offer. “(Linguist) said he likes my playstyle and he thinks he can develop me into a great player.”
Jones is being recruited by Linguist and the Wolverines to play cornerback, so receiving the offer from a coach who has experience coaching corners in the NFL meant just a little more.
