The Michigan Wolverines just landed arguably the most important player on the board in the 2022 class, as in-state five-star cornerback Will Johnson just announced his commitment to the Maize and Blue.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder from Grosse Pointe picked Michigan over his two other finalists — USC and Ohio State. Both schools appealed to him for several reasons, but he held strong relationships within both programs. Fellow five-star cornerback Domani Jackson, a close acquaintance of his throughout this recruiting class, is committed to USC and did his best to get Johnson to commit to the Trojans.
