2021 four-star DE Quintin Somerville commits to Michigan

Michigan just landed its top target at the defensive end position, as 2021 four-star Quintin Somerville just committed to the Wolverines.

The Scottsdale, Arizona native is the No. 150 overall player in his class, per 247Sports’ composite. He chose Michigan over Florida State, Washington and Vanderbilt. He also had offers from Georgia, Auburn, Ohio State, Stanford, Michigan State and more.

Michigan defensive line coach Shaun Nua has been recruiting Somerville for more than two years, dating back to his days at Arizona State. This relationship played a huge role and may have ultimately led Somerville to choosing Michigan over the other programs.
