Michigan QB Wilton Speight Has 3 Fractured Vertebrae

Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh hasn't detailed the severity of the injury to QB Wilton Speight, but Speight himself has provided the details. Speight told ESPN's Chris Fowler that he suffered three fractured vertebrae against Purdue. 

The video of the hit that caused the injury is below. 

Fowler added that Speight's season is likely over due to the injury. That's not a surprise given the severity of the injury.

Speight completed 44 of 81 for 581 yards, 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions before suffering the injury. John O'Korn is the starting QB for Michigan in his absence.
