Our Michigan football rumors update for August 7th:
Michigan football is one of three Big Ten programs currently in the mix for 2017 four-star Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy offensive tackle Robert Hainsey, with Penn State and Michigan State also in contention for his signature.
Hainsey's mother went to Penn State and Michigan State offered first, so most recruiting sites are currently considering him a Penn State lean with Michigan State trailing behind.
However, the change in regime in Ann Arbor at least has caught Hainsey's attention.
"Their new coaching staff," Hainsey said of his current reason for interest. "I know coach Jim Harbaugh is a great coach.”
Hainsey currently holds 12 offers. He is listed as the #20 offensive tackle in the Class of 2017 by 247Sports.
