Michigan Football Recruiting: Wolverines Offer Top 2019 TE, Impress 4-Star DB On Visit & More

There isn't any actual Michigan Wolverines football until the fall, which means recruiting takes center stage for Jim Harbaugh and his coaching staff. Michigan is off to a solid start early, ranking 11th in the nation with 10 commits. But the Wolverines are far from done and there's plenty of action around Michigan football recruiting. Here are all the latest Michigan recruiting news and rumors you need to know.

Michigan offers three-star OT
The Wolverines extended a scholarship offer to three-star offensive tackle Raiqwon O'Neal (Conway, SC), he announced on Twitter.

O'Neal is the 23rd recruit to receive an offer from Michigan in the 2018 cycle. Louisville, Maryland and South Carolina are viewed as the three favorites for him.

The 6-foot-5, 265-pounder is ranked as the No. 70 offensive tackle and No. 876 overall player in the country, according to 247sports.

Wolverines offer top 2019 TE
Five-star tight end Grayson Boomer (Collinsville, OK), the top tight end in the 2019 recruiting class, received an offer from Michigan during his unofficial visit on Thursday, he announced on Twitter.

"Coach offered me and then they played a video for me where Jake Butt congratulated me on getting the offer," Boomer said of his visit. "It was a surreal moment and I wish I was able to keep the video because it was crazy and really awesome. Adding an offer from Michigan is something I've wanted since seventh grade. I'm one of Jake's biggest fans. It was insane."

Michigan has not received a commitment from anyone in the 2019 class, but they are right at the top of the 6-foot-5, 230-pounder's list.

Michigan impresses four-star 2019 DB on visit
Four-star defensive back Litchfield Ajavon (Alexandria, VA) visited Michigan on Tuesday, and came away extremely impressed with everything Michigan had to offer.

"They really offer the total package as far as athletics and academics go," Ajavon told 247sports. "The people at Michigan were really friendly and I liked spending time with Coach Harbaugh because he is who he is. He doesn't change his personality for anybody and I respect that a lot about him. I had a great time talking with him, Coach Smith and Coach Brown."

The 6-foot, 190-pounder is ranked as the No. 8 athlete and No. 101 overall prospect in the 2019 class, according to 247sports.
