Jim Harbaugh Provides Update On QB Wilton Speight's Injury And It's Not Good

Jim Harbaugh has provided a more tangible update on the health of Michigan Wolverines starting QB Wilton Speight and it's not good news for the starting QB. Harbaugh announced Monday that Speight will miss "multiple weeks" and that backup QB John O'Korn will start in his place going forward.

O'Korn will at least start the Michigan State game for the Wolverines and likely several more this year. The rest of the QB depth chart features Brandon Peters as the backup and true freshman Dylan McCaffrey as the No. 3.

Speight suffered what Harbaugh called a "soft tissues" injury against Purdue. He left the game and did not return, with O'Korn leading the Wolverines to a win. Harbaugh has yet to detail the exact nature of the injury.

Before the injury, Speight struggled. He was completing just 54.3 percent of his passes for 581 yards, 3 TDs and 2 INTs. In more limited action, O'Korn has completed 70.4 percent for 307 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT.
