Michigan football news: Super freshman QB Shane Morris enters game for Michigan

Super freshman and former 5 star recruit from the 2013 recruiting class Shane Morris has burned his redshirt and entered the game for Michigan with 3;23 left in the 3rd quarter with Michigan leading 49-6.

Morris, who won the backup job during fall camp, was a player that many Michigan fans hoped would redshirt, giving him 3 years to start if Devin Gardner stays for the 2014 season. Given the season ending injury to QB Russell Bellomy in the spring, it was almost assured that Morris would be required to play this season.

The Wolverines got off to a huge lead, giving the Michigan coaches the chance to give Shane some real, meaningful playing time prior to next weeks showdown vs. Notre Dame.
