Michigan Coaching Search: Wolverines officials reportedly headed to Bay Area to meet with Jim Harbaugh

There's nearly no doubt that Sunday will mark Jim Harbaugh's last game as the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, and the Michigan Wolverines aren't prepared to waste any time in bringing him home to Ann Arbor.

Per Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports, Michigan officials and the search firm hired by the team to find Brady Hoke's replacement will reportedly be in the Bay Area this weekend to continue the program's pursuit of Jim Harbaugh:

As reported by our very own Mack Ferguson earlier this month, Harbaugh will take the job barring a last-minute change of heart. Michigan officials' travel plans to the Bay Area may just be one more indication of Harbaugh's imminent return to his alma mater.

Neither Harbaugh nor 49ers general manager Trent Baalke are tipping their hand publicly at this point, but Baalke did tell reporters that Harbaugh will meet with members of the front office early next week after Sunday's season finale against the Arizona Cardinals.
