By now, if you're a Michigan fan and don't have a grandfatherly type love for Greg Mattison, you're incapable of the emotion in the first place and will likely side with the machines on judgement day. The players obviously bought into the new system and improved themselves and freshman have certainly played big roles, but a large part of Michigan's defensive success is this man's coaching. With that said I'm sure at least 30% of you would like to show me defensive metrics that indicate Mattison is not the reason the defense has turned it around and in fact Rich Rodriguez is responsible for at least 73% of the improvement, with 7% going to G. Robs stuffed badger. I'm not here to have that argument, instead I'm here to show you a video of Greg Mattison making a defensive call from the sidelines and rubbing his breasts. How's that for a defensive metric? Just one more thing that Greg Mattison can do that Greg Robinson can't.
