BREAKING: XX Confirms That Michigan Has Fired Brady Hoke

It was a long time coming in the eyes of many Michigan fans, but the Wolverines officially announced on XX the dismissal of head coach Brady Hoke.

Hoke opened his tenure with the Wolverines on a positive note, leading Michigan to an 11-2 record in 2011 and a 23-2o Sugar Bowl victory over the Virginia Tech Hokies. That team would finish #12 in the final AP poll of the season, sparking optimism heading into the offseason.

However, that positive momentum wouldn't last long. Hoke went 8-5 and 7-6 in 2012 and 2013 respectively, adding two lower-tier bowl losses to his resume' and a ton of questions about whether his coaching style could return Michigan to former glories.

2014 only added more questions (and a ton of "Fire Hoke" chants and tweets), as Hoke couldn't survive Michigan's 2-3 record and a wave of national criticism over his handling of his players.

XX will take over for the Wolverines on an interim basis for now. Check out our list of potential replacements for Hoke at this link.
