3 Recruits Michigan Must Land To Make The 2016 Class A Success

The Michigan Wolverines already boast one of the top recruiting classes in the country, but they're far from done, making a strong push during the last month of recruiting as we heads towards National Signing Day on February 3. However, for this class to truly reach its full potential, here are three players Michigan needs to make sure they sign:

Five-star DT Rashan Gary
The 6'4", 290-pounder has been the player of this class for a while because of his elite size, strength, and athleticism (4.74 40-yard dash). Nick Saban and Alabama have been pursuing Gary for some time, but he's widely expected to commit to Michigan. His former coach, Chris Partiridge, is the new director of recruiting operations and former teammates Jabrill Peppers and Juwann Bushell-Beatty are already in Ann Arbor.

That being said, Alabama, Auburn, and Ole Miss are all fighting very hard to try to lure Gary away from the Wolverines. Michigan's class is already very good, but adding the top overall recruit in the country could give them the No. 1 class.

Four-star CB David Long
Long will make a decision tonight between Michigan and Washington, and the Wolverines are also expected to land him. Harbaugh has put a big focus on the secondary with this class, and Long's commitment would give them a future lockdown cornerback. He is ranked as the No. 8 corner and No. 65 overall prospect in the country.

Four-star CB Lavert Hill
Hill is the younger brother of Michigan senior safety Delano Hill, but the Wolverines still have plenty of competition for his services. Two of his former teammates have already committed to Michigan State and was committed to Penn State earlier in his recruitment - and they're still in the race to land him. Hill is ranked as the No. 13 cornerback and No. 136 overall prospect in the country.
