Rashan Gary, Chase Winovich, Devin Bush, David Long are all likely to be drafted in the first 3 rounds in the 2019 NFL Draft, while Tyree Kinnel graduated and may be drafted, while starting DL Aubrey Solomon transferred to Tennessee after the 2018 season.

2019 Michigan Football defense will be once again led by defensive coordinator Don Brown - now in his 4th season at Michigan under head coach Jim Harbaugh. The team has 5 returning starters from 2018: Michael Dwumfour, Josh Ross, Khaleke Hudson, Lavert Hill and Josh Metellus. Player slike Devin Gill and Josh Uche got starter reps at times in 22018, but don’t count due to them playing at positions that aren’t in Mihcigan’s true 11-player base set.
