Flip season is upon us, and Michigan State football might be in danger of losing a good chunk of its 2026 class commits — as it already has.
Jonathan Smith is on the hot seat and that’s forced a couple of top commits to look elsewhere for better situations. Braylon Hodge, a four-star linebacker from Colorado, and four-star receiver Tyren Wortham have both decommitted in the past month while four-star in-state wide receiver Samson Gash is taking an Alabama official visit and he just received an offer from Wisconsin.
It’s safe to say that Gash is a legitimate flip candidate like Hodge and Wortham were.
