His 25th season at the helm of Michigan State’s basketball program begins in uncharted territory. The Hall of Fame coach’s Spartans are the No. 1 team in the preseason polls for the first time in school history, and they are now the hunted from the outset.
All eyes are focused solely on Izzo and preseason national player of the year Cassius Winston from the opening tip of the season.
