Tom Izzo and Michigan State basketball suffered their first loss of the 2025-26 season on Saturday afternoon, hosting a really good Duke team and falling 66-60.
The Spartans are now 8-1 on the season after losing to the No. 4 team in the country, and they will be looking to bounce back this week at Penn State to improve to 2-0 in the Big Ten. That’s not going to be an easy win because no road battle in conference play ever is, but Michigan State should get back on track against the also 8-1 Nittany Lions who haven’t played anyone this season.
