Tom Izzo and Michigan State basketball are no strangers to welcoming former players back with open arms. Whether it's when all the former stars come back for the annual 'Grind Week' or, in many cases, his former players eventually join the Spartan coaching staff in some form.
That's no different during this 2025-26 season for Michigan State. It was already well known that former Spartan standout Goran Suton (2005-2009) was back at MSU as a graduate assistant. He was a huge part of the 2009 national runner-Up team in Detroit.
