U-M's Rashan Gary and Devin Bush Jr., MSU's Brian Lewerke on Walter Camp award watch list

Michigan and Michigan State players are in the mix for the Walter Camp Player of the Year award to mark the end of the two-week watch list season.

Michigan linebacker Devin Bush Jr. and defensive end Rashan Gary and Michigan State quarterback Brian Lewerke were among the 50 players named Friday to the watch list for the award. The list will be cut to 10 semifinalists in mid-November and a winner will be announced on Dec. 6.

The award has been presented annually since 1967. Michigan has two past winners in wide receiver Desmond Howard (1991) and cornerback Charles Woodson (1997) while no Michigan State player has ever won the award.
