Tre Holloman’s decision to leave Michigan State this past offseason was both a shock and a disappointment. Fans felt like they had enough to compete for another Big Ten title in 2025-26, but Holloman’s absence would obviously be felt a little bit.
No one expected it to be felt this much through just three games, though.
Holloman was a plus shooter and a solid ball-handler who could give Jeremy Fears Jr. the rest he needs so he doesn’t play 30-35 minutes per game. Unfortunately, he has to be on the floor for Michigan State or the offense just falls apart.
