The Spartans lost another game, extending their losing streak to five and leave Ypsilanti with a very bad taste in their mouths.
The loss means Michigan State has slid further down in the Big Ten with an overall record of 15-10 while the Eagles improve to 10-18 on the year. The Spartans offense struggled substantially. In a game they should have won with ease Michigan State only mustered up six hits for the night.
Along with those six hits comes eight runners left on base, a continuous problem for them this year. It seems whenever too many people don’t get driven home the Spartans lose.
